Research and Teaching Interests

I am a social anthropologist of the Sahara Desert in North Africa and hold a DPhil and MPhil in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford. I am a Non-Stipendiary Lecturer at St Catherine's College and Research Fellow at the Fertility and Reproduction Studies Group (FRSG), and Tutor in Anthropology and Gender Studies for the Archaeology & Anthropology and Human Sciences degrees. My principle research interest is in the specialised human endeavour of occupation, migration, survival and adaptation in arid zones.
